Queering the Airwaves Launch Party

Queering the Airwaves returns for 2026, this year exploring the theme of Community. A collaborative initiative between Dublin Digital Radio (ddr.) and éist in Cork, Queering the Airwaves platforms LGBTQ+ voices, artists, organisers and communities through a series of radio broadcasts airing across Dublin and Cork Pride.

To launch this year’s edition, join us for a daytime yard party at Flux Studios, Dublin 2. From 3PM–9PM, residents from ddr. and éist will soundtrack an afternoon of celebration and community.

All donations on the door will go to Switchboard. The Switchboard is Ireland’s longest running LGBTQ+ listening service. It is entirely volunteer run and is a helpline founded on principles of non-judgement, open mindedness and compassionate listening.

DJ Egg

DJ Egg is a music selector and artist who has been steadily rising and creating communities on the dancefloor through the Irish and UK scenes for the past eight years. Well-established in the bass scene in Ireland, they have married their passion for bass-heavy music with their long-standing involvement in grassroots queer culture, developing a signature sound that encompasses euphoric queer club music into their sets. They co-run Dyke Nite (Limerick & Cork) and are the resident designer and frequent performer of Ar Ais Arís.

Esmé2k / Undercover Wolfgirl

Undercover Woldgirl is multi-genre DJ obsessed about field recordings and dancefloors of all kind, resident for Milk and éist, expect dancey music of all sorts.

Acid Dave

Acid Dave is a Kerry native, Cork-based DJ, party starter, and boss for queer party Milk. Through Milk, he curates an inclusive space for dancers and queer talent to express themselves. His sound moves across spectrums of deep house, acid house, prog, and trance. Focused on progressive rhythms, lush textures, emotion, and seductive energy often tied together with a leftfield flair. Rooted in the playful and often psychedelic spirit of 90s rave, his sets aim to excite and move, through downtempo journeys, pumping club, and everything in between.

Genesis Fawn

Genesis Fawn (b. 2000) is an Irish Musician and Visual artist whose work draws heavily on Gothic Irish history. Combining sludgy bass loops, metallic drums, and time-stretched field recordings. Through her work Fawn aims to create immersive, character-driven sound narratives. In 2025 she began her DDR monthly Radio Show Raidió Fawn where she shares her favorite EBM and Gothic Electronic Music.

Dijaka

dijaka is a Cork-based DJ and co-founder of DOSE and éist. From bubbly to murky bass

Sahana

Sahana is a Dublin based DJ from NYC making serious waves in the city’s underground. From old Chicago grooves and tech house to progressive trance and funky techno, her sets always deliver. She's a regular on Dublin Digital Radio with her show Mast Hour spotlighting DJs of colour.
