Join us on Saturday May 11th in Mono’s Bar at Bohs Stadium for an evening of music, spoken word and performance from Palestinian and Arab artists, supplemented by speakers from Dublin-based solidarity movements. Come and enjoy a night of music, dancing and solidarity among friends old and new ❤️
This event takes place - not at all coincidentally - on the same night as this year’s Eurovision, which Israel will disgracefully participate in despite calls from the international community for them to be removed from the competition due to their ongoing genocide of the Palestinian people. An Irish musician “Bambie Thug” will also perform at Eurovision, and has ignored calls and letters asking them to refuse to participate.
As a music community, ddr. wants to celebrate Palestinian and Arab artists on this night, as a gesture of solidarity and to show our support for the Palestinian struggle. It is also a fundraising event, and all money received will be donated to fundraising efforts in support of people in Gaza, or those trying to flee. *(more information below).
The event will take place in Mono’s Bar, in Bohemian FC’s stadium at Dalymount in Phibsborough, Dublin 7.

*Fundraising
At the time of planning this event, we had earmarked some funds started by friends of those in the ddr. community to support their family members in exiting Gaza. However, as the situation is uncertain, these fundraising efforts are sometimes halted due to the difficulty in getting the money to the people who need it. If we are unable to support these funds, we will be donating the money instead to organisations on the ground in Gaza.
